Google Moves Into Wi-Fi Arena

Lots of speculation on Google 's wifi strategy. I sincerely don't believe that Google will move actively in this area. Releasing a software client which provides security is not a signal of greater ambitions. It might just be another facility it provides to its users. On the other hand, it is also true that Google had been purchasing dark fiber. So maybe there is some truth in that they are thinking about creating a broadband network. Anyway with the cash they have from their unreasonable valuation, it is probably good that they invest in infrastructure and thus benefit everyone.
